Ummmm….to the gentlemen out there. Consider hiring a photographer to document this special day after you see the images below. 🙂
We first met Patty and Warren at our fundraiser for Phong Diep in December. Since Tracy and I broke off took on two simultaneous sessions, Tracy was the one who actually met the lovely couple prior to the proposal day. Anyhow, fast forward to this past February. We receive an inquiry from Warren about his plans and how he wants to incorporate us into his proposal plans. Tracy joyfully claps only because she knew that Patty really wanted to be engaged during their mini-session. Then last week, everything came together. The plan was for Warren to take Patty to the spa and have lunch for her birthday. After lunch (and much text communication), Warren drove Patty to the coast for short stroll to check out the views of the beach. Once we got the text of their arrival, we took our places – I was to follow them hiding through some bushes while Tracy headed to the proposal point to secure a spot and not be seen by Patty since they’ve already met. I swiftly climbed some hills to snap a few images of their stroll and ran straight to the proposal area. We waited for a bit and as we peeked through some bushes, we wondered where their friends were since they HID so well. Time passed and still there was no sight of Patty and Warren so I began to ask other hikers if they had seen them as they walked up. No one really paid attention I guess, but they were already in awe of what was going to transpire. Soon after I chatted with a few of the hikers, I saw them cut through the field of wildflowers and dove into the bush. The rest is well, history as they say. Warren handed Patty over an album that he made for them documenting their last six years together. At the end of it, was an image of the ring and there Warren knelt down on one knee.
After the proposal thats when we all popped out of the bushes along with their friends and Patty was just so surprised to see everyone there. Everything turned out as perfect as Warren planned it. Well done Warren! You gave Patty the best birthday gift ever. Congratulations you two – enjoy the engaged life and all the fun ahead. Thank you for having us be a part of it all!
