Time for part two of this wedding extravaganza! This time we will start with the kick off to Ursula and Chet’s wedding with the Baraat. The Baraat is a pre-ceremony tradition in India in which the groom’s friends and family escort him to the bride’s home or ceremony location. Typically the groom will arrive in an horse or elephant in Chet’s case. It’s quite the joyous celebration with upbeat music and dancing that led Chet to the front of the hotel where Urusla’s friends and family await. Before Chet enters the front of the hotel, Urusla’s mom with the guidance of the Hindu priest performed a small prayer. With the elephant being such a fun and unique aspect to Ursula and Chet’s wedding, Ursula wanted to meet Tai the elephant before the celebration began.
Check out the images below! We kicked it off with Ursula and Tai’s matching ankle bangles. 🙂 Apparently Tai is a movie star too…her most recent work can be seen in the movie, Water for Elephants.
Stay tuned for Friday’s post with the rest of their wedding and reception images! 🙂
