It was an overcast day in usually sunny Pasadena, California but nothing stopped Rachel and Greg from having their most perfect outdoor wedding. Friends and family flew in literally from all over the world……from the east coast, Hawaii, Bali, Japan……and the list goes on… As we mentioned on Rachel and Greg’s blog post last year, they met through one of their many travels as mileage runners. Until last year, Greg was a Los Angeles native for more than a decade and now he is a full-fledged New Yorker! But they celebrated back in Greg’s old stomping grounds….
We started their day at the Westin Hotel in Pasadena and continued on to do their portraits at the historic Gamble House which was next to their wedding ceremony and reception site. We loved the simplicity of their wedding that really represented who they really are. Rachel and Greg, we are so touched and honored to have documented your story. We appreciated all the times you took to meet with us while you were in town and also for the great time in NYC during your engagement session. You both are remarkable and we wish you all the best in your future travels! With love and Aloha, Tracy&Cam

Rachel and Greg’s first look! Love how Rachel just peeked over….so cute!
After their first look, we headed over to the Gamble House to sneak some portraits in of Rachel and Greg before their guests arrived.
And there was no way that Froggie wasn’t going to be a part of this celebration! For those who missed our NYC post of their engagement session, Froggie was a special gift from Rachel and Greg’s travel friends and flew back and forth from NYC to Los Angeles during their long distance relationship. He has racked up about 150,000 miles and continues to go on travels with Rachel and Greg all over the world.
As a gift to Rachel, Greg invited his choir to sing at their wedding. It was amazing!
The gentleman’s handsome lei’s directly from Hawaii.
They got down to some Rick James for their first dance!
These were one of the best strawberries we’ve tasted. If you are local to Los Angeles, you have got to stop by the Ramierz Strawberry Ranch in Long Beach. AMAZING!
Instead of the traditional bouquet toss, Rachel decided to toss her bouquet off to the next person in line who was getting married which was her friend.
It may have been cold out, but there is no way saying no to some ice cream. Especially Carmela’s ice cream. We’re drooling thinking about the delicious sea salt caramel ice cream!
After their reception, Rachel had a special request to stop by her favorite cafe in Pasadena, Intelligentisa. So we hung out with them, warmed up with a nice cup of espresso and walked throughout Old Town Pasadena.
wonderful event, beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing
[…] This wedding is very special to us. As we returned from Kauai, we immediately unpacked and packed all our bags and headed out to the east coast to document two of our dearest friends – Chris and Mark as they start their next chapter. We didn’t expect the weather to be cold and rainy – but really those factors didn’t matter at all with the gorgeous NYC skyline. Chris and Mark’s wedding was extremely elegant with their classic black and white color scheme at Maritime Parc in Jersey City. Family and friends flew in from all over the country to celebrate. Also as a side note, you may notice a familiar face – the officiant! It’s one former groom Greg! […]
