I don’t know where to start with our featured couple this week, Stephanie and Kenny. All I can say is that the world is really small. You see, Cameron and Stephanie were classmates in high school and I’ve known Kenny since our junior high days. At some point we all were students at Cal State Northridge – me majoring in Communication Studies while Kenny, Stephanie and Cameron graduated from the College of Business and Economics. And during that time, Kenny and Stephanie never crossed paths! Go figure. It wasn’t until a few years later that this duo met for the first time through some mutual friends (not US!) and the rest is history. After several years of dating, Kenny proposed to Stephanie on her birthday last September during their Hawaiian vacation.
It’s always an honor when our friends choose to go with us to capture their wedding day. Stephanie and Kenny will be getting married later this fall and we are so thrilled to be a part of their wedding.
We started outside the Los Angeles Central Library.
We then saw that we could even explore more across the street which lead us to the Citigroup building
We then headed to the Art District of downtown Los Angeles. We LOVE it there. The graffiti walls, abandoned streets, old warehouses…makes for some awesome photographs.
I love when couples incorporate their wedding into the engagement session. Stephanie’s and Kenny’s t-shirts have a Qee doll with the Chinese character “囍” is traditional in Chinese marriages and translates as double happiness. The Qee doll will serves as an inspiration for Kenny and Stephanie since they will be incorporating a Munny doll for their wedding. A Munny doll is made with vinyl and is like a design-your-own toy. It comes as a blank toy and the owner can decorate it with paints, pens, and other awesome supplies. Kenny being a Munny artist he is incorporating these dolls with his own designs for their wedding day. We’re not really sure yet what is in store but I’d love to see a HUGE MUNNY! No pressure Kenny! 😀 Want to know more about a Munny or buy one – visit the Kid Robot site.
Stephanie and Kenny – thank you guys for such an awesome afternoon! Hope you both had as much fun as we did. 😀
