Oh the movie “Up!” It pulls at my heart strings EVERY SINGLE TIME and literally my tears soak up at least half a box of Kleenex. The movie begins with two children Ellie and Carl who meet, become great friends, share the same dreams, fall in love, and get married. (If you haven’t watched the movie – you must check it out – its even on Netflix!) The first 20 minutes of the film focuses on the simplicity of what Carl and Ellie enjoy together – grape soda, picnics in the park, pointing up at the clouds and creating pictures with them, and dreaming one day to go South America and visiting Paradise Falls. Both worked at the zoo (Ellie was a tour guide and Carl sold balloons) and they saved up their hard earned cash in a large jug. As they continue their journey together, some unfortunate events come up – hospital bills, home fixtures, new tires for the car – and the jug continuously emptied out. Eventually Ellie passes away and leaves Carl more determined than ever to visit Paradise Falls. If you’ve already seen this awesome animation – well you know how this ends. 😀 While this all took place within the first twenty minutes of the film, it made me think about my life with Cameron; making sure we act upon our dreams and making them come true.
For Michelle and Son, the movie left the same impression which made them want to recreate the film and show how much love they have for each other. These high school sweethearts dreamed for ten years and now they are getting ready to create new dreams together and fill their adventure book with more photographs and stories to look back on! Michelle and Son, it was so wonderful spending an afternoon with you and capturing your love for each other. We are touched and honored that we will be there for your wedding! ~ Tracy and Cam
