Wow 2010 was definitely a busy year filled with many engagements – including ourselves.
We love engagement shoots! There is nothing better than spending a few hours with our fabulous couples as we take them through the hills, beaches, and urban areas of Los Angeles County. There are some who totally oppose the whole engagement photography idea – and thats totally okay. We’ve said these before but we’re gonna recap the importance of having your engagement photos taken:
- First, you get to have awesome photographs of yourself that you do not normally take!
- Second, you begin to build a relationship with your photographer who will be taking the rockstar photographs of you and your fiancé. It gives you an opportunity to know your photographer’s style of directing and the photographer gets to know what makes you comfortable.
- Third, when you look back at your photos you begin to notice the quirks that you may want to fix – like your one eye squinting in a funny way or the way you smirk. By doing your engagement session, its such easy way to fix those things that didn’t look so hot in photographs during your engagement session to ensure you look FABULOUS on your wedding day.
- Lastly, its just fun! As photographers we love going on engagement sessions with our couples – from the awesome lighting as the sun sets, going to different locations, and taking rockin’ photographs of them. Every single time we photograph a couple they discuss how nervous they are at first and at the end say that couldn’t believe how much fun it was – and this was the groom talking!
As we enter the final days of 2010, we want to highlight our awesome couples for who got engaged this year! Some have already tied the knot – some are set for 2011!! Congrats and much love to you all. xo
