For those who have known Cameron and I for some time – has probably met Ada. She is our RAMBUNCTIOUS chocolate labrador retriever. She is the reason why we adopted Tobey after our first year adopting her. With all that she has done within our first year of owning her, I think we can write a book or even start off another blog.
Anyhow, every Christmas for the past five years I think of Ada when I look at my Christmas tree. I think about the time when we had a much larger LIVE tree in the house and she toppled it down – she was about eight months old at the time. Ornaments, angels, ribbon and all – down on the floor. Now, we have a much smaller tree that sits atop a small round table which can be seen lit up every evening in front of our house. Makes me wonder if Ada still remembers the incident because she dares not to near the tree anymore – regardless of its size.
Now six years young, Ada will always have a special place in my heart as being the first “baby.” Yes, I said it – B-A-B-Y.
Here is Miss Ada as a pup – she was so cute that small. Note – its all lies when people say they calm down after the first couple of years. She still acts like shes a puppy until today. 😀
Here is Ada all grown up! She is once happy dog.
