Tracy had the opportunity to second shoot for James Carson from Carson Photography based out in Arizona a few weeks ago. With the wedding taking place on a Wednesday and with me still holding down a regular 9-5 job – I wasn’t available to shoot so I sent Tracy instead. She did a wonderful job once again and I am definitely proud and honored to have her by my side to shoot with me – here is the amazing wedding written by Tracy…
“Oh my what an amazing wedding this was! The GORGEOUS views of the Pacific Ocean, amazing sunlight, and of course the beautiful couple Amber and Seth. Amber and Seth are from Iowa and they had a small and intimate wedding with immediate family. It was such a beautiful day with the clear skies and a picture perfect southern California setting. It definitely was a great idea to have a ceremony in sunny Dana Point as its was about 35°F in Iowa. A huge thanks to Laurie Davies from Five Star Weddings and Events who coordinated this beautiful day. She was great to work with and made sure that all the “T’s were crossed and that the “I”s were dotted! Below are my images from their wedding day. Enjoy!
For reals – this place is just so beautiful!
While Amber was getting ready, I was hanging out with Seth. Here’s the happy groom waiting for his bride!
Amber and Seth opted to do a first-look which I love, love, love!! I absolutely love when there is time before the ceremony to capture such amazing images of the bride and groom. I think its just so beautiful to have such an intimate moment to see your bride and/or groom before everyone else does – its just a moment to have to yourselves. Also, it just means so much more time to spend with family and friends after the ceremony too! Here is Seth as he steps down the Grand Ballroom foyer to meet Amber, his bride-to-be.
The beautiful floral arrangements, boutonnieres, and bouquets were created by Amanda Heer from Fantasy Floral Designs in San Juan Capistrano:
One of my faves. Seth dries a tear as Amber walks down the aisle. Makes me wonder if Cam will tear up when I walk down the aisle! (heehee)
Amber accompanied by her father…
I seriously love this brooch on the back of Amber’s dress.
The blessing of the rings…
Once the “I dos” were said and because the portraits with the family were done prior to the ceremony, Carson and I had so much time to work with Amber and Seth as the sun was setting on the beach. Amazing light, cool breezes, and sunsets always make wonderful images…
Seriously one of my most favorite images that I have ever taken.
The celebration then continued for a low-key dinner at the Stonehill Tavern inside the St. Regis.
I would love to have a wine bar like this one day!
Lastly, I leave this blog with this image below….
LOVELY IMAGES!!! I adore the very last one the most! Great job Tracy!!
Beautiful job, Tracy!! the one of them walking on the sand with the sunset. Gorgeousss!
