It was a GORGEOUS Saturday afternoon in September. We met Christina and James more than a year ago through Tracy’s cousin Mary Anne. Since our consultation meeting with them, we knew that they would be so fun to photograph. We were definitely right with our instincts with James and Christina during their engagement session in May and we just couldn’t wait for their wedding reception. This was our first time shooting at Lawry’s Prime Rib in Beverly Hills and working with Ellen and Melissa that comprise of the Special Events and Catering team for the restaurant made it so easy for us to be there! Brides – if you are looking for a place – this is definitely one to add to your list!
Christina and James, it was truly a wonderful celebration to share with both your families. We felt all the love that your family and friends have for you both. Thank you for inviting us to share in the joy of your union. Have a wonderful trip in Bora Bora! We cannot wait to hear and see pictures from your trip! ~Cam and Tracy
Now on to the details! Rings, shoes, oh my!
Who doesn’t love a pair of Christian Dior shoes for your special day…
Big thanks to makeup artist Grace Lin and her team dolled up Christina for the day!
Christina’s mom helping her with the dress…
After photographing many weddings, I think Tracy will write a book on how to bustle your dress. Both Christina’s and James’ moms have decided to take on this challenge! The room where Christina got ready is actually one of the dining areas of Lawry’s. I just love the forest green walls with the old paintings in the background.
So while Christina was getting ready – James was doing what he does best – being funny! Here he is pushing the infamous Lawry’s Prime Rib cart!
The beautiful floral arrangements were created by Marisa from Empora Floral Artistry based out in Brea, California.
It was now time to sneak the couple away for a few minutes to take some pictures of just the two of them….
So Tracy thought this was a cute idea which is why she snapped this one. It is definitely helpful for the servers to know what meal each guest will be receiving. I guess she is starting to stir up some ideas for our own wedding next year…
Time to celebrate! James’ father raises a toast to the newly married couple!
Of course there is no better way to toast Christina’s and James’ union that with a bottle of Dom Perignon and sneak a little kiss in between the celebration….
It’s no secret Tracy and I LOVE Porto’s Bakery and love their wedding cake even more! Perhaps maybe Tracy and I will get our cake from here? Any thoughts? 🙂
We will end with this photo and share in this toast to you James and Christina!
great shots capturing the day. love love love the floral arrangements and the christian dior shoes!
