Downtown Los Angeles is such a remarkable area to photograph. There is just so much to shoot in such a small area – to me, its a photographers playground. Luckily for Tracy and I, Rebecca and Ralph wanted to do their engagement session in downtown LA. We started their session at the Los Angeles County-USC Hospital where they first met working as registered nurses. Many may recognize this hospital since its front facade is used in the opening credits of the ABC soap opera General Hospital. We would have never guessed that the architecture inside of this hospital is so beautiful and we LOVED using the available light that came in through the front doors. Enjoy!!
We then ventured to the Arts District and did a walking tour of the area. Textured walls, the graffiti art, and Aztec calendar served as magnificent backdrops for us!
Silhouette shots are my favorite and this one was just perfect with the downtown skyline right behind.
Both Rebecca and Ralph did an outfit change (which is great because it gives couples a variety of photographs to pick from) and we headed towards Old Town Monrovia once again! We love the brick walls and the shirt Rebecca was wearing is significant because she was wearing that shirt when Ralph proposed.
Thanks Rebecca and Ralph for the sushi and for the awesome session. We cannot wait for your wedding in December!
