Vacations are great. Ever since Tracy and I first started dating, she showed me the importance of taking a vacation and the need to just leave the daily grind once in awhile. This time, Tracy and I visited her family in the Philippines. With this being my first trip to the country, I was with camera the entire time. We had a wonderful time and I met many of her aunts, uncles, and cousins for the first time. Here are a few from that trip to the following islands: Bohol, Cebu, and Luzon (Manila/Ayala Alabang):
Common forms of transportation in the Philippines – taken in Cebu:
Hanging out in Bohol:
Rice fields in Bohol:
Chocolate Hills Bohol:
Here are the Philippine Tarsiers which is one of the smallest primates in the world and on the endangered species list. They are known to take their own lives due to stress. We weren’t allowed to handle them because of the endangered state, but we were lucky enough to see them:
Luboc River, Bohol:
Panglao Island Nature Resort:
Cruising around Manila Bay and its famous sunset:
Love the vibrant colors and looks like an amazing trip.
[…] A few weeks ago, Tracy and I did just that – this time not in front of our own lens but with up and coming photographer Stephanie Miller. It wasn’t until then we had photographs taken of ourselves. It was nerve wrecking and exciting at the same time. I think we were just excited of the fact that there wasn’t just photographs of our FACES! You all know the self-portrait shots that we all like to post on Facebook – where you just see some forearm and ALL FACE! Like this photograph below that was taken in 2009 during our visit to the Philippines. […]
